I can’t stand to even face the reality that she might not survive this without bawling, the only thing I want is to be with her. I’m 2500 miles away. Even if I went, she wouldn’t see me so why do I even still want to go? I just want to lay my head in her lap and have her pet my head while I cry.

I can’t take this. Tonight after work I talked to my mom, I call her every single day and even though her speech is slurry I can still make out her words. Today she says she accepts responsibility if she dies from this.
